Implement a Flagging Feature for Data Issues in MAC

To ensure data accuracy within the Maersk Application Catalogue (MAC), a flagging feature was introduced, allowing business users to report and provide context for any data discrepancies they find.

Flagging Functionality:

  1. A flag button is now available for users to report data accuracy issues.
  2. Users can add comments detailing the issue, helping application owners and enterprise architects understand and resolve it.

Restrictions:

  1. Application owners cannot flag their applications.
  2. Applications cannot be flagged if an existing query is open.
  3. A flagged application indicates an open query at the application level.

Direct Notifications:

  1. Automatic notifications are sent to the application owner and enterprise architect with issue details and comments, consolidating flagged issues into a summary for each.

Resolve Flag:

  1. Application owners or enterprise architects can resolve flagged issues by selecting a resolve button and adding mandatory comments to confirm the resolution. Issue Report Issue Report_Issue

Application Review Status Notification

To keep MAC users informed of important changes in progress, a review status notification banner has been introduced on the application details page. This banner ensures visibility of ongoing review processes for platform changes or ownership requests.

A prominent banner now appears at the top of the application details page for applications under review, either for platform change or ownership transition requests.

  1. The banner clearly states that the application is under review and specifies the type of review (e.g., "Platform Change" or "Ownership Request").
  2. Displays the requestor’s name if applicable.

Visibility:

Accessible to all users who view the application details page, ensuring transparency for all stakeholders.

Dynamic Updates:

The banner automatically updates or is removed once the review process is completed and the request is either approved or rejected.

Note: Request details and Revision history are clickable directly from the banner, allowing users to quickly view detailed information on changes and previous updates.

Clear Verification Status on the Application Page

A "Verified" status indicator has been added to the application verification page, improving transparency and accessibility for application verification details.

Verification Status Display:

A "Verified" status is prominently displayed on the application verification page, allowing users to quickly confirm if an application has been verified.

Verification Details:

Next to the "Verified" status, the date of verification and name of the verifying user are clearly shown, providing context for when and by whom the verification was performed.

Accessibility:

The verification status and details are displayed directly on the page, so users do not need to navigate to the audit history.

Note: The verification event is still logged in the audit trail to maintain a complete historical record for more in-depth tracking if required.
