Create a List page for Application/Platform/Portfolio
As part of the continuous improvement of the Application Catalogue, we have added three new sections in the header menu: Application, Platform, and Portfolio. This update enhances navigation, making it easier for users to access and manage information related to different segments of the catalogue.
Application Section:
Displays the list of all applications with detailed information.
Platform Catalogue:
- Includes a search functionality allowing users to search by Platform name, ID, or Owner.
- Displays platform information in the same layout as the Application view.
Portfolio Catalogue:
- No filtering options are available.
- Displays portfolio information in the same layout as the Application view.
- This enhancement streamlines the user experience, ensuring quick access to relevant data without disrupting the interface.
Build Metrics for Valid Percentage Score of Applications per Platform:
Developed metrics to calculate and display the valid percentage score of applications within each platform in the application catalog. This helps stakeholders assess the quality and completeness of application data across platforms, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information.
Improve Email Verification Filters and Timing:
- Updated the email verification process to ensure that verification emails are not sent to individuals who have modified an application within the last 90 days.
- Verification emails are now scheduled to be sent only during business hours (e.g., 10 AM to 11 AM EST, Monday to Friday) to avoid unnecessary notifications outside work hours.
- Admins can manually trigger verification emails for applications that have not been verified within 90 days or for applications imported from EAC.
- Addressed and resolved any issues from the integration engineering verification process to ensure the system works efficiently.
Notification Subscription Feature:
Business users can now subscribe to notifications at the portfolio, platform, and application levels. These notifications provide detailed information about new applications or updates, including relevant metadata and links, enabling users to stay informed and make timely decisions.
Prevention of Circular Ownership:
The system now prevents users from switching the roles of the owner and delegated owner for any application, ensuring both roles remain distinct individuals. An error message is displayed if a circular ownership attempt is made.
Implement Email Notification for MAC & CMDB Integration (Interim Solution):
- Implemented an email notification system for creating and updating actions in the application catalog as an interim solution for the MAC and CMDB integration.
- When a new entry is created in the MAC, an email is triggered with details such as the application name, date of creation, and key metadata.
- When an update is made to an existing entry, an email is triggered, detailing the application name, the fields that were changed, along with the old and new values.
- This solution ensures stakeholders stay informed of important changes without relying on the RETina system.
